OSR – Oil spill response
The OSR activity is based on an experience of over thirty years with activities involving industrial, military and touristic ports, shipping accidents, oil terminals, steel industries, rivers and industrial channels. This allowed us to solve in complete autonomy OSR interventions of several tens of tons of spillage and restore the entire port areas.
Today, in Italy, we are dealers for the Taranto Harbor District (about 160 km of coast) for marine pollution control services on behalf of the Italian Harbor Master/Coast Guard.
OSR – Emergency Intervention and remediation
Planning procedures, immediate availability and coordination of specialist resources make the difference in the event of accidents. This greatly increases the effectiveness of the response and reduces damage and responsibilities. We must be prepared to manage important variables: the size, the type of product and the rate of expansion. Everything is inextricably linked to the local ecosystem. If you prefer a production site without adequate defenses, for you and for the hosting place there, it’s just your choice. Often it comes to mind when it is too late and when the law calls for the bill.
To Support our Customer in the protection of production sites in accordance with the best available technologies and techniques is our job. Following the standards and implementing the logic NEBA (Net Environmental Benefit Analysis) is what we successfully pursue with our customers, defining a fair balance between the eventual impact of pollution and the potential impact of available remediation techniques.
Emergency management must not be left to chance and improvisation. Procedures defined with customers and authorities reduce response times, criminal liability, direct costs, damage to third parties and protect the image.
Reducing the environmental impact on aquatic environments depends mostly on an immediate effective and efficient response.

OSR – Prevention Operations
By studying the needs of our customers or institutions we define on-site procedures and activities to reduce the impact of operations at risk with active management.
This reduces to a minimum the first intervention times, the damage to the environment and, often, minimizes the reputational or legal damage due to accidents. These performances are decisive in supporting productive systems working on a h24 basis (refineries, oil terminals, iron and steel, cement, military activities, etc.)
Coordination with the production facilities of our customers makes their activities flowing and avoids unnecessary and costly operational blocks.
In addition, our active management and procedures and a correct external communication enhance the image of our customers and support their corporate policy of environmental and safety management certification.
Through proper planning and organization, we are able to support more operations at once, such as:
– lightering (commercial product transfer between tankers)
– bunkering (ship refueling)
– movements from oil terminals (buoys, piers, platforms, maintenance)
– patrols and monitoring of coastal and port areas
